DNS Security for iOS/macOS

A DNS over HTTPS and DNS over TLS app for iOS and macOS.

DNS Security for iOS/macOS

DNS Security

One of the first apps to use iOS 14 encrypted DNS profiles without requiring a VPN configuration.

Secure your DNS queries without routing all network traffic through a VPN.

What are DNS over HTTPS and DNS over TLS?

Even when you visit a site over HTTPS, your DNS query may still be sent over an unencrypted connection. Anyone watching the network can see which domains you request, and an attacker can potentially tamper with DNS answers to redirect visitors to phishing, malware, or surveillance sites. Your ISP, router, or network provider may also be able to track these requests. DNS over HTTPS and DNS over TLS help protect DNS queries from this kind of exposure.

Feature

This app uses the iOS 14 DNS settings feature to configure DNS over HTTPS and DNS over TLS without a VPN profile. Some VPN apps route all network traffic through their servers; this app only changes DNS resolution.

Privacy

This app only secures DNS queries through the provider you choose. It does not send other network traffic to our servers, and we do not collect personal information.

Transparent

Choose a provider you trust. You can use Google, Cloudflare, AdGuard, or another supported DNS provider.

  1. DNS over HTTPS (DoH) uses port 443, like normal HTTPS traffic.
  2. DNS over TLS (DoT) uses port 853.

Follow these steps to enable DNS settings:

  1. Enable the toggle switch in the app.
  2. Go to iPhone Settings - General - VPN & Network - DNS - Select “DNS Security”.

If you have connection problems, select another configuration profile or re-enable the app. Some service providers may be unavailable in your region.

If you have suggestions, leave a review. We will continue improving the app.
